According to Mehr's correspondent, on Sunday afternoon, at a meeting between the commander of the Kermanshah Province Border Guard and the province's customs supervisor, ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation aimed at facilitating the border trade process, increasing exchanges and supporting the livelihood of border residents were examined.
General Sepehri, commander of the Kermanshah Province Border Guard, at this meeting, referring to the need for greater coordination between the border and customs bodies, stated: The Border Guard is ready to continue its cooperation and accompaniment with those active in this field during all customs working hours.
He considered developing the capacity of the province's commercial borders an effective ground for increasing exchanges and added: Strengthening these capacities can help expand kolbari imports and provide more opportunities to secure the livelihood of border residents.
Continuing this meeting, Dariush Sadeghi, the province's customs supervisor and director general of Kermanshah Customs, referring to the National Transit Headquarters resolution on facilitating customs processes, stressed the need for its effective implementation.
Explaining the approach of through-transport of goods from the country's entry and exit points and customs premises, he noted: In this approach, the border must be a place for goods to pass through, not to stop; a matter which, by reducing unnecessary delays, can speed up the clearance process and reduce logistics costs.
The Kermanshah Province customs supervisor also considered foreign trade one of the important capacities for the region's economic development and said: The province's borders play a considerable role in boosting exchanges, creating employment and strengthening economic activities, and Customs is fully ready to expand cooperation with the Border Guard.
Sadeghi described the interaction between the Border Guard and Customs as an effective factor in streamlining border exchanges and added: Greater coordination between these two bodies can lead to improved service delivery to merchants and border residents and to the facilitation of trade processes.
