According to the IRIB News Agency in West Azerbaijan, a specialized meeting was held at the Governor's Office of Maku County to review the performance of the plant quarantine stationed at Bazargan Customs and to examine existing obstacles and challenges in the border trade process.
The meeting was attended by the Governor, the Director of Plant Protection, and the Director of Agricultural Jihad of the county, where issues related to the performance of plant quarantine at the Bazargan border were discussed.
During the meeting, the deployment method and continuous presence of Agricultural Jihad personnel in the plant quarantine unit of the Bazargan border were discussed and decided upon, with the aim of facilitating and accelerating the import and export processes of essential goods and preventing disruptions in commercial trade.
Making the operations of executive agencies stationed at the Bazargan border terminal round-the-clock is among the requirements stipulated in Article 11 of the Cabinet's 15-point resolution for the Maku Free Zone. Based on this article, all executive agencies stationed at this terminal are required, in coordination with the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration and through the relocation of human resources and utilization of existing credits, to operate around the clock.
The resolution also stipulates that if the required human resources are not supplied from existing sources, the Administrative and Recruitment Affairs Organization of the country must issue the necessary recruitment authorization within one month upon the request of the highest authority of the relevant central agency and the approval of the Plan and Budget Organization of the country.
