Referring to high competition and a shortage of petrochemical raw materials such as polyester chips and polypropylene granules on the Iran Mercantile Exchange, the secretary of the Association of Textile Industry of Iran announced a drop in production during the first half of the year due to inadequacies in supplying base materials, and called for the verification of quotas and the identification of fake buyers by the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.
