Mohammad Rashidi, in an interview with a Mehr reporter, referring to the country's economic conditions and livelihood pressures on wage earners, stated: Inflation and the devaluation of the national currency have made the livelihood of employees, wage earners and retirees difficult, and under such conditions, raising salaries again within one year is not an unusual measure.

He added: The government can provide the ground for adjusting salaries in the second half of the year by presenting a supplementary or amended bill to parliament, and parliament, given the existing conditions, will also agree to this.

The representative of the people of Kermanshah in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, referring to the follow-ups made in parliament, stated: This issue has also been considered in the Social Commission, and good meetings have been held with the Planning and Budget Organization, but the government has so far taken no practical action in this regard.

Referring to recent remarks by the head of the Planning and Budget Organization about an anticipated salary increase in next year's budget bill, Rashidi said: The budget bill for the year 1406, which is to be presented to parliament in Azar, concerns next year and cannot answer the demand for adjusting salaries in the second half of the current year.

He emphasized: The issue parliament is demanding is amending the salaries of employees and retirees for the second half of this year, and this request must be pursued separately from decisions related to salary increases in the 1406 budget.

Stating that the salary adjustment must include all employees and retirees, this member of parliament noted: For those who receive the minimum salary and are at the lowest pay levels, a larger increase should be considered so that fairness in payments is also observed.

In conclusion, Rashidi expressed hope that the government would present the amended budget bill to parliament as soon as possible, centered on salary adjustment, the electronic ration card (Kalabarg) and the defense budget, so that these demands can be examined and followed up.
