A member of the Islamic City Council of Tehran, referring to the implementation of the scientific water management plan for Chitgar Forest Park, said: More than 30 kilometers of water transmission network has been implemented in this park.
According to Mehr News Agency, Mehdi Pirhadi, at the session of the Islamic City Council of Tehran, stating that we can place important issues on the council session's agenda, stated: Why are hope-inspiring issues not raised in the council chamber, and some council members are unaware of the topics?
He added: Our martyred Imam emphasized hope-inspiring, and in these conditions the mayor's deputies can, by presenting their reports, show how much work can be done for the people in economic and wartime conditions.
Pirhadi, stating that we do not know whether the session's presiding board has held a meeting so far or not, stated: Our request is that the presiding board explain in this regard.
He added: The mayor of District 22 several times had this request, that he attend the council chamber and explain about the state of the trees of Chitgar Forest Park.
Pirhadi emphasized: Many actions have been taken in Chitgar Park. In recent years, because of the water crisis, the water of this park was cut off for a time, which was due to the non-allocation of water by the Ministry of Energy. A scientific plan has been prepared for Chitgar Park, and this is the first plan after the Revolution, and it has been reviewed by the country's elites, and our forest parks have had a plan for the first time.
He added: More than 30 kilometers of water transmission network has been implemented, and this was a measure that should have been carried out over several decades but was implemented in this term and over the course of a few years. Over recent decades, the transmission network and the construction of reservoirs were not attended to, and they did nothing, and today they say: alas!
Pirhadi said: For the first time, a comprehensive raw water plan has been drawn up, which had some ambiguities, and we said the corrections should be made and then it should be raised in the chamber.
Stating that large projects come into operation every week, he noted: The council president attends these programs every week, and I request that in the sessions he also speak for five minutes about these projects.
