According to Lorestan Province IRIB News Agency ; the head of the Lorestan Red Crescent Society said: Following the meteorological warnings about the occurrence of the El Niño phenomenon, all operational forces, relief and rescue equipment and the support warehouses of the province's Red Crescent are ready to serve and provide support to confront the effects of abnormal rainfall and the possible danger of the El Niño phenomenon in the province.
Gholamreza Ali-Mohammadi stated: In all the spheres where the Red Crescent Society's forces need to be present on the scene, readiness exists and this society's warehouses are in the best support condition.
He added: More than a thousand emergency shelter sites have been identified across the province, and the necessary arrangements have been made to stock relief items in various areas so that these items, if needed, can be placed at the people's disposal.
