Donald Trump, President of the United States, in reaction to remarks by Barack Obama, the country's former president, fiercely attacked him, and while criticizing his administration's conduct toward Iran, the defeats of Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris in elections, and Obama's support for an election candidate in Michigan, claimed that Obama has been one of the most incompetent presidents of the United States.
According to KhabarOnline, in remarks Trump accused Obama of paving the way for Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon and claimed that by paying billions of dollars to Iran, he provided the grounds for the country to acquire such a weapon.
The US President also, referring to the past presidential election, said Obama had backed Hillary Clinton and campaigned with all his might for her victory, but Clinton ultimately lost. Trump then pointed to Obama's support for Kamala Harris and claimed that she too met a similar fate and lost the election.
Trump went on to accuse Obama of supporting a person who, according to him, is linked to the Muslim Brotherhood. He described this person as a "jihadist" and claimed that he hates Jews, Black people, Americans and Trump himself. The US President predicted that this candidate will also be defeated.
In another part of his remarks, Trump, defending his own record in the state of Michigan, claimed that he had won in this state by a large margin and had brought back the auto industry, an air force base and other economic activities to it. He also claimed that during his presidency more job opportunities were created than at any other time.
Continuing his attacks, the US President said the people of Michigan do not want a person he described as arrogant, a supporter of open borders, a "fake doctor" and a "jihadist." Trump also claimed that by releasing more information about this person, his image will be damaged even further.
According to KhabarOnline, citing the Associated Press, Barack Obama, the former US President, on Saturday, at a Democratic Party election rally in Detroit, Michigan, supported Abdul Rahman Mohamed El-Sayed, the Democratic candidate in the US Senate election, and criticized Donald Trump and his administration's policies.
Obama, referring to the attacks raised against El-Sayed because of his political views and Islamic identity, said Republicans are trying, through fear-mongering propaganda, to portray Democrats as extremists, communists or jihadists. Referring to his own experience of similar attacks during his political career, he said such propaganda must not be allowed to influence voters.
The former US President also lashed out at Trump's policies, accusing him of raising living costs, corruption and personal exploitation of the presidency. Referring to the war with Iran, he called Trump's decision to start this war unnecessary and said the conflict has fueled the increase in America's costs and debts. Obama then called on voters to take part in the November 3 midterm elections and respond to the Trump administration's policies with their votes.
