The play 'Reading Sara's Memoirs from Minab', directed by Andreas Zafiris, was staged for audiences at the Brecht Hall of the 2510 Cultural Center in Athens.

According to KhabarOnline News Agency, the play 'Reading Sara's Memoirs from Minab', written and directed by Andreas Zafiris, was performed as part of a special program commemorating the martyrs of the Shajareh Tayyebeh School of Minab, aiming to reflect the human dimensions of this event, in cooperation with the Cultural Attaché and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Greece, at the Brecht Hall of the 2510 Cultural Center in Athens.

The play 'Reading Sara's Memoirs from Minab' is based on the memoirs of Sara, a girl who survived the bombing of the Shajareh Tayyebeh School in Minab, and narrates a child's everyday life and her experience of fear, loss and the consequences of the attack from her perspective.

In the documentary section, works about the brutal American-Israeli attack on the Minab school and the short film 'MINAB 168' were also screened.

After the performance of the play and the screening of documentaries from Minab, a discussion session on 'The Role of Art in Resistance and Confronting Oppression and Injustice' was held with the presence of writers and media activists.

At this session, Mohammadreza Bahmani, Iran's cultural attaché in Greece, referring to the killing of thousands of children in the past three years in Gaza, Palestine, Yemen, Lebanon and Iran, considered the protection of children and the defense of human dignity a responsibility beyond political and geographical borders, emphasized the role of art in exposing injustice, conveying the voice of victims and confronting the forgetting of these catastrophes, and appreciated the Greek art group's dedication to honoring the name and memory of the children of Minab.

Nawzat Hadid, a Palestinian writer, also spoke about the role of art in preserving the collective memory and historical identity of the Palestinian people.

This Palestinian writer regarded art as a tool for narrating displacement, transmitting the experience of resistance and reflecting the suffering of people who must not disappear among statistics and reports.

Also Thomas Sideris, a Greek journalist, writer and director, emphasized the responsibility of the media in narrating war and humanitarian crises.

Referring to his professional experience, he said: 'The media must go beyond reducing victims to numbers and convey their real lives and experiences to the audience.'

Konstantina Karoti, the representative of the 'Until Victory / Minab 168' campaign, emphasized the need to preserve the memory and names of the 168 children who lost their lives and to turn empathy into social action.

She regarded art and cultural activity as a way to confront indifference, racism and the normalization of violence.

Andreas Zafiris, the writer and director of the play, regarded theater as an opportunity for the audience to come closer to the victims' experience and hear their narrative.

This artist emphasized that dedicating time to listening to the life stories of others can transform people from passive spectators into responsible participants.

In the video segments of the program, messages were also presented from Jafar Ghasemi, a Minabi artist and eyewitness to the attack on the Minab school, Marwa Osman, a Lebanese journalist, and Tim Anderson, an Australian researcher.

The 'MINAB 168' art exhibition was another artistic event of this program, held to pay tribute to the 168 martyred children of the Shajareh Tayyebeh School in Minab.

The play 'Reading Sara's Memoirs from Minab' will be performed on October 22 and 29 at 19:00 in the Brecht Hall in the city of Athens.

According to the organizers, the proceeds from this program will be allocated to the reconstruction of the Shajareh Tayyebeh School in Minab.
