According to "Varzesh3", the importance of El Clasico, the Madrid derby aside, is comparable to no other league match, and this difference is fully reflected in the volume of television equipment and the cameras assigned to the video assistant referee.

In the controversial match at the Bernabeu stadium, which drew strong protests from Sevilla, the possible contact between Arda Guler and Peke could only be made out vaguely through the general aerial camera. Sergio Carranza, the official in charge of the match's television direction, explained that the priority is always to follow the main flow of play and the ball, which was thirty meters away from the disputed incident, because most of the handheld and tactical cameras were focused on other areas.

In that match, 26 cameras were used, but this number rises significantly for the upcoming El Clasico at the Nou Camp. Under La Liga's broadcast regulations, El Clasico is classified as A-plus, and the minimum number of cameras, which is 22 for ordinary Real Madrid and Barcelona matches, now rises to 39 cameras — 40 units, to be precise. This level of visual coverage matches the standards of a Champions League final.

Despite this volume of equipment, the decision on reviewing incidents will still rest with the video assistant referee room and the on-field referee. The television direction provides all recorded images in real time, and the officiating team will have access to more angles. The new cameras include additional units for the master shots, the goals, offside calls, the goal line, reverse-angle cameras, a rail camera, a second Steadicam, a panoramic camera, and ultra-advanced high-speed and slow-motion cameras.

The usual spider camera will not be used because of construction work at the Nou Camp, but a drone will replace it. This increase in equipment requires the presence of nearly thirty specialists and a doubling of the simultaneous review channels so that the images are broadcast with greater speed and quality.

The slow-motion cameras will be especially effective for examining slight contacts, simulations and handball offenses inside the penalty area. However, experts note that one hundred percent coverage of all areas of the pitch far from the ball is technically impossible even with these technologies.
