KhabarOnline reports from Isfahan: Seyed Rouhollah Seyed-al-Asgari stated: Taxpayers and companies can, by choosing the historic monuments located within the Imam Square (RA) (Naqsh-e Jahan) area, allocate their tax claims to be spent on restoration and protection projects for this world heritage.
He clarified: In this scheme, important buildings including the Abbasi Jameh Mosque, the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque and also the Qeysarieh Bazaar, which are located within the Naqsh-e Jahan Square complex, have been marked so that taxpayers can direct their tax payment process toward the restoration of these buildings by choosing these monuments.
The deputy of the Isfahan Province Cultural Heritage Department also announced that this scheme includes the Fin Garden complex of Kashan as well, and in total, a tax capacity of up to 350 billion rials has been envisaged for restoration projects within Naqsh-e Jahan Square and Fin Garden.
He emphasized: This approach is a solution for securing the financial resources necessary to preserve historic monuments through the direct participation of taxpayers.
Seyed-al-Asgari added: Naqsh-e Jahan Square and its complex of historic monuments, as well as Fin Garden of Kashan, are among the most important world-registered cultural heritage sites of Isfahan Province, whose protection is highly important, and the tax-marking scheme for them, aimed at directing the tax amounts of people and companies, can be an important and culture-building step in public participation in protecting the manifestations of the country's historic heritage.
