The director general of drugs and controlled substances at the Food and Drug Organization announced the notification of rules for distributing health-oriented products in pharmacies in transition after the founder's death.
According to Mehr News Agency, citing IFDAna, Akbar Abdollahi Asl said: Based on the relevant rules, the activity of pharmacies covered by these conditions, after the end of the legal 24-month deadline for settling the status of existing products, has no legal validity; therefore, drug distribution in these pharmacies must be managed in proportion to the remaining time.
He added: Distribution of products in 6-month periods is contingent on reviewing inventory, registration records and inquiring about the pharmacy's status in the TTAC system by the food and drug deputy of the relevant university. Distribution companies must also set the supply ceiling based on the pharmacy's actual records and within the permitted deadlines.
The director general of drugs emphasized: In the final 6 months of the legal deadline, distribution of health-oriented products to these pharmacies will be completely stopped.
