According to ILNA, citing the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Hajar Sharifi said today, October 25: Due to its suitable climatic conditions, its history of saffron cultivation and its natural and historical capacities, the city of Tarqrud is considered one of the areas with potential for developing agricultural tourism in Natanz County.

The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Natanz County continued: The coincidence of the saffron harvest season with the beauties of autumn in the region provides a good opportunity to attract tourists, introduce agricultural capabilities, and acquaint travelers with the culture, customs and lifestyle of the people of Tarqrud.

Referring to the registration of the Tarqrud saffron event in the country's tourism events calendar, she added: This national registration provides a suitable ground for further introducing the region's tourism capacities at the national level and strengthening Tarqrud's position in agricultural tourism. Holding programs related to the saffron harvest and introducing this valuable product, in addition to helping tourism flourish, can play an effective role in supporting farmers, developing local jobs, directly supplying products and creating economic opportunities for the people of the region.

Emphasizing the need for cooperation among executive bodies, urban management, tourism activists and farmers, Sharifi stated: Making use of the saffron event's capacity and simultaneously introducing Tarqrud's historical and natural attractions can help tourists stay longer and boost the economy of Natanz County.

It is worth noting that the city of Tarqrud in Natanz County, thanks to its history of saffron cultivation and its historical and natural attractions, has considerable capacities for developing agricultural tourism, and the registration of the saffron event in the country's tourism calendar is an opportunity to introduce these capacities more widely.
