According to the Mehr correspondent, following the publication of items on social media about the condition of the body of a young girl at Razi Hospital of Qaemshahr and the claim of a fault occurring in this center's cold storage, the head of the hospital denied this matter and provided explanations about the cause of the observed condition.

Majid Zabihi stated: This girl had been transferred to Razi Hospital of Qaemshahr on Friday due to poisoning, and the claims raised about the breakdown of the hospital's cold-storage system are not true.

He added: In the event of a fault in the cold storage, the other bodies kept in it should also have shown signs of cadaveric decomposition, while such a condition has not been observed.

The head of Razi Hospital of Qaemshahr, pointing to the considerations related to keeping bodies for conducting forensic examinations, said: Bodies that need forensic examinations should not be kept frozen and in below-zero cold storage; because freezing can cause a change in the body's tissue.

Zabihi also explained about the bloodied fluids observed around the deceased's body: Based on the medical team's specialized opinion, the exit of these fluids and the unpleasant smell caused by it was related to the poisoning and the changes and decomposition of the internal organs after it, and has no connection with the functioning of the hospital's cold storage.

In the end, he emphasized that the deceased's body, contrary to the published claims, has been delivered to the forensic medicine authority, and he asked the media and social-media users to check the accuracy of information before publishing or republishing items and to reflect on the consequences of publishing news.
