Razavi Khorasan Cinema Sales Double in October

According to IRIB News Agency, Razavi Khorasan Center, the head of the Cinema Affairs Group of the General Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Razavi Khorasan, said: In October this year, 347,138 people visited the province's cinemas, while the figure in October last year was 308,435.

Susan Mohammadzadeh added: Cinema sales in the province in October this year exceeded 42 billion tomans, while the amount in the same period last year was about 22 billion tomans.

Referring to the increase in cinema ticket prices, she said: In addition to higher revenue, the number of cinema audiences in the province also increased in October.

The head of the Cinema Affairs Group of the General Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Razavi Khorasan went on to say, referring to the cinema sales statistics of the province from the beginning of the year until October 24: Despite the growth in sales in October, total cinema sales in this period have been about 17 billion tomans less than in the same period last year.

Mohammadzadeh cited the country's special circumstances and their impact on the Nowruz screenings as one of the main factors behind this decline, adding: Nowruz screenings are usually among the best-selling cinema periods of the year, but this year the wartime conditions and the closure of cinemas during this period affected the level of sales and the number of audiences.

According to the announced statistics, from the beginning of the year until October 24 of this year, about 945,000 people visited the cinemas of Razavi Khorasan, while the number of audiences in the same period last year was more than 1,800,000.
