At a meeting between the Vice President for Science and the head of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund and innovation-ecosystem actors, the latest status of the 'Hamafza' plan was reviewed.

According to Mehr News Agency, citing the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, a meeting to review the implementation of the 'Hamafza' plan was held at the Vice Presidency for Science, attended by Hossein Afshin, Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Asghar Nourallahzadeh, chairman of the board of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, and a group of innovation and technology ecosystem actors.

At the meeting, the plan's performance and the progress of each applicant company's activities were reviewed separately. While assessing the measures taken so far, participants raised the remaining challenges and obstacles in the plan's implementation.

Pointing to the 'Hamafza' plan's capacity for sustainably financing knowledge-based companies, Hossein Afshin stressed the need to speed up executive processes and remove the obstacles facing applicant companies. He also deemed greater coordination among the bank, the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, and participating companies essential for the effective use of the plan's capacities.

The representatives of the participating knowledge-based companies, referring to the plan's implementation process, emphasized the need to develop and expand it across the knowledge-based ecosystem. They also called for the remaining obstacles to be followed up and removed so that applicant companies can access the facilities more easily.

In this regard, the Vice President for Science asked the Innovation and Prosperity Fund to pursue the issues raised with greater seriousness and speed. It was also decided that the Center for Financing and Investment Development of the Vice Presidency for Science, in cooperation with the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, will follow up on the plan's implementation and the removal of existing obstacles.

The 'Hamafza' plan, aimed at creating synergy among knowledge-based companies, value chains, and financing institutions, seeks to develop a sustainable model for supplying working capital and strengthening firms' production and technological capacity. The approval of more than 4.2 hemmat (thousand billion tomans) in facilities under this plan, and the welcome it has received from value chains and knowledge-based associations, paves the way for expanding financing instruments and strengthening private-sector participation in the knowledge-based economy.

Reviewing the performance and implementation of the 'Hamafza' plan will continue periodically and continuously, with the participation of the Vice President for Science, the chairman of the board of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, and knowledge-based companies.
