According to ILNA, quoting Al Jazeera, Barack Obama, at a Democratic election rally in the state of Michigan, sarcastically referring to Pete Hegseth's attention to the appearance of military personnel and their testosterone hormone levels, said the Secretary of War, instead of focusing on his responsibilities, spends a great deal of time arranging his hair in front of the mirror.
The former US president also criticized Donald Trump's actions to rebuild the White House and, pointing to the construction of a ballroom, the asphalting of part of the Rose Garden, and the extensive use of gold in the decoration, accused the US president of being excessively occupied with the White House's outward changes.
Trump, in response, called Obama a "very failed" president and claimed that he, by paying billions of dollars to Iran, paved the way for this country to attain nuclear weapons.
These remarks provoked varied reactions on social media and once again brought the political differences between the former and current presidents of the United States into the focus of attention.
