The newspaper "Turkiye Today" wrote on Sunday evening: Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey, in an effort to end the diplomatic dispute with Azerbaijan over the ban on hijab in Baku schools, dismissed Oktay Saral, the senior presidential adviser.
Oktay Saral, confirming his own dismissal, said in a message: I completely respect the president's decision.
Turkiye Today wrote: This dismissal was carried out in order to meet the demands of Azerbaijan, which has close ethnic, cultural, religious and historical ties with Turkey. Ankara is also trying to ensure the presence of Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan, at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which is to be held in Turkey in the next few days.
