Young Journalists Club; Azam Pourkand According to calculations by the TASS news agency, citing reports from Ukraine's Ministry of Finance, if the conflict with Russia continues, Ukraine's military spending in 2027 will reach 473 million dollars per day.
This figure covers military expenditures only, including the payment of salaries and benefits to serving military personnel and the purchase of military equipment, ammunition and supplies needed by the armed forces.
This estimate does not include social spending to support former military personnel and the families of those killed in the war, the construction of defensive fortifications — where their implementation is not the responsibility of the Ministry of Defense — and other government expenditures.
Accordingly, Ukraine's total military spending in 2027 will reach nearly 173 billion dollars.
In 2026, Ukraine's average military spending has been around 300 million dollars per day; a figure that does not include the Defense Ministry's additional requests at the end of the year.
If these additional requests are counted, Ukraine's total military spending will increase to 370 million dollars per day.
