CBS estimates point to Democrats leading the election contests for the US House of Representatives.

Young Journalists Club; Zahra Najafi - According to the latest CBS News poll released today (Sunday), Democrats are still ahead in the race to win a majority in the US House of Representatives; meanwhile, many voters believe neither party has a clear plan to improve America's economic situation.
According to CBS's election model estimate, Democrats are currently on track to win 229 House seats. Although the range of possible outcomes could reach more than 230 seats, Republicans still have a limited chance of keeping the majority.
According to the polls, the Democrats' lead has remained relatively steady in recent weeks and has not grown noticeably. Also, voters who have not yet decided whether to take part in the election lean more Republican.
Concern about inflation, rising living costs and the state of the economy are said to be among the most important factors influencing voters' decisions. Most Americans do not expect a victory by either party to lead to a significant improvement in their finances; however, more of them believe that if Republicans win, gasoline prices will rise and people's financial situation will get worse. Also, most voters believe that if Republicans maintain control of Congress, government corruption will increase.
Donald Trump also plays a central role in the midterm elections. More than 70 percent of voters who support the Democrats say opposition to Trump is one of the main motivations for their vote.
Despite this, dissatisfaction with the lack of a clear plan in both parties is evident. About four out of every 10 Democratic voters believe their party has no specific plan for running Congress. Meanwhile, economic concerns and inflation continue to work in the Democrats' favor, and many voters believe the Trump administration's economic policies have made their financial situation worse.
