Rick Sterling, the American analyst, criticizing Donald Trump's approach toward Iran, described his behavior as based on threat and intimidation and said that the US president, when faced with signs of weakness, becomes more aggressive instead of retreating.
Young Journalists Club - Sterling, in an interview with Press TV, likened Trump to a gangster and, referring to his and Benjamin Netanyahu's role in regional developments, warned about the consequences of the aggressive approach of the two. He also referred to the political pressures facing Trump among some of his Republican supporters and the possibility of Netanyahu's return to his judicial case if he leaves power.
This American analyst, recalling Trump's election promise to play the role of a peace-seeking president, said that his widespread support for Israel and the start of a war with Iran charted a different course. According to Sterling, this distance between the promises and the performance of the US administration has increased criticisms of Trump's foreign policy.
