According to ILNA, quoting the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Yahya Najarqabel, referring to Ardabil province's programs for developing tourism and exploiting the capacities of the province's various regions, stated: The calendar of the province's tourism events has been drawn up taking into account the time and place of the counties, and a total of 45 events have been considered for different seasons of the year in proportion to the capacities of each region.

The tourism deputy of Ardabil province's General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, stating that local and cultural events can play an effective role in introducing the province's lesser-known attractions, added: In recent days, several tourism and cultural events have been held in the province's counties, among which are the Kolur walnut and Namehil pomegranate events in Khalkhal county and the Hiva event in Kowsar county.

He emphasized: We are trying to use the capacity of these events to increase tourists' length of stay and introduce the tourism attractions of the province's various regions. Content production with the presence of journalists and social-media activists can also help introduce these capacities to more audiences.

Najarqabel, referring to planning for attracting tourism tours to the province, continued: Before the events are held, the information related to them is provided to the Professional Association of Travel Services Offices of the country and the Iran Tour Operators Association, so that activists in this field can plan tourism tours in line with the events' timing.

The tourism deputy of Ardabil's General Directorate of Cultural Heritage expressed hope that with improved conditions and the reopening of the border, the ground for the return of foreign tourists and the province's benefit from health tourism capacities will be provided.

Najarqabel continued: For the month of Azar this year, the second edition of the International Health Tourism Seminar is planned to be held with the cooperation of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Ardabil University of Medical Sciences.

He emphasized: Developing the province's tourism requires purposeful introduction of attractions, strengthening local events, increasing travelers' length of stay and exploiting health tourism capacities; a path that is followed by planning diverse events and expanding cooperation with tourism industry activists.
