According to "Varzesh3", Fajr Sepasi earned a 2–2 draw away to Nassaji — in circumstances where, after Mehdi Sharifi was sent off and they went down to ten men, they conceded a second goal but came back into the game in the final moments.
Mehdi Rajabzadeh said at the post-match press conference:
"It was a tough and attractive game. We were a team that had come to leave Qaemshahr with a point, and even with three points. Nassaji, with the fans they have and the attacking football they play, were certainly looking to win the game. That is why good chances were created at both goals. We scored a well-timed goal and afterwards we could have reached further goals from the balls we had worked on."
The head coach went on to stress:
"Nassaji appear in numbers when they attack, and for that reason the space on the flanks and behind their defence becomes empty. We had a plan based on that, but unfortunately going down to ten men disrupted our plan. I also congratulate the Nassaji team, because they were very good and attacking. In my view, in today's game turning a losing result into a draw with ten men was a difficult task, and for that reason I think we were the winners of the game."
Rajabzadeh also continued:
"Nassaji also put a lot of pressure on after we went down to ten men. In a few incidents our goalkeeper saved very well, and they wasted one or two chances themselves. We are very happy to be leaving Qaemshahr with a point. I must thank my players, who played with great heart. We pulled this single point out of the lion's mouth and it is valuable to us. I wish we had not gone down to ten men so we could have presented our own football. I congratulate both teams on a hard-fought match."
On the effect of the video assistant referee on the course of matches, he said:
"I myself believe that if VAR is used correctly and the decision-making is done properly, it can help, because sometimes goals are exchanged that are unjust. I am not against VAR; it just needs to act faster in decision-making and take justice into account."
The Fajr head coach finally expressed his view on the refereeing as follows:
"Today's refereeing was good, but my feeling is that if we had not scored that second goal late in the first half, the referee would never have gone to VAR at all. Because we scored, they went and reviewed it and awarded a penalty foul."
