According to "Varzesh3", Sepahan in week 10 of the Premier League, with a resounding 4-0 win against Mes Shahr-e Babak at Naghsh-e Jahan Stadium, returned to winning ways once again. The Golden Ones, who after two resounding wins over opponents had been held in Qazvin against Shams Azar last week, have found good form again with this home win, and are now preparing themselves for next week's sensitive clash against Kheybar Khorramabad.
Mehdi Karimian, Sepahan's team manager, appeared before reporters after this match and, while praising his team's performance, once again pointed to the refereeing scene in the match against Shams Azar, saying Sepahan still considers itself entitled to the two points lost in that match.
Karimian first said: "I congratulate our fans. This game is over, and now we have a very hard game in Khorramabad that we are thinking about. Although we are still owed two points from the previous game and this matter has not left our minds, thank God today we were able to play a very good and fair game. I think our run before this match was also good, but we are still owed those two points from the previous game. God willing, the next game against Kheybar will be the key to our path and we can return from there with full hands."
Sepahan's team manager said about the fans' reception of the match against Mes Shahr-e Babak and the relative emptiness of Naghsh-e Jahan Stadium: "I know people have many hardships and there are economic issues and various problems, but I expected, given that today entry was free on the occasion of the club's 73rd anniversary, that a larger crowd would come to the stadium. I don't want to put pressure on people; those who did come, I thank them. However, those who love Sepahan — after all, being in love has its cost too, and they must be beside the team in these days. Their presence also increases the joy of the game for the lads. I hope we continue our good run too, and the number of fans in the stadium increases."
Karimian, in response to the question of which memory comes most alive in his mind upon hearing the name Sepahan, pointed to his time at this club and the experience of a hat-trick of championships, and said: "Everyone who has been at Sepahan in their time has a memory of their own. For me too, the hat-trick of championships was very enjoyable, but it is not us who did something for Sepahan; rather, it is Sepahan that has made others be seen. Perhaps if Sepahan did not exist, many veterans could not have shown themselves either. Look at the club's organisation; I think if there were four or five other clubs like Sepahan in our football, our football would have no problem."
