According to "Varzesh3", Sepahan , who in the past six weeks of the Premier League had followed an extraordinary run with four wins and two draws and had returned themselves to the ranks of the contenders, today faced bottom-of-the-table Mes Shahr-e Babak; and while their opponents were reduced to ten men in the 9th minute with the sending-off of Mohammadreza Raoufimanesh, the Golden Wearers scored four goals with an all-out attacking display, to now draw level on 20 points with Persepolis and Tractor and stand in second place due to goal difference.

Sepahan's goals started in the 12th minute with Mehdi Limouchi's beautiful strike, and two minutes later Mohammad Mehdi Lotfi's pass was converted by Kasra Taheri; but in the 32nd minute it was Omid Noorafkan's turn to send an exceptional shot into the corner of the goal and make the result 3–0.

The Golden Wearers' attacks continued in the second half too, and in the 59th minute Noorafkan's cross was converted by Kasra Taheri with a header, and in the end the game finished 4–0 — although if two more goals had been scored, Sepahan would now be above Persepolis at the top of the Premier League .

Goal ballGoal descriptions

Sepahan 1 – Mes Shahr-e Babak 0 (minute 12: Mehdi Limouchi): Omid Noorafkan's long pass from the right side of midfield behind Mes's defenders arrived as Ehsan Hajsafi, after a quick escape, passed to Mehdi Limouchi, so that this player scored the first goal of the game with a precise instep strike.

Sepahan 2 – Mes Shahr-e Babak 0 (minute 14: Kasra Taheri): Aref Hajieidi's forward pass was delivered by Mohammad Mehdi Lotfi to Arash Rezavand, whose cut-back came back to Lotfi again; this time his backward pass was converted by Kasra Taheri without hesitation with a ground shot.

Sepahan 3 – Mes Shahr-e Babak 0 (minute 32: Omid Noorafkan): The chance Limouchi had created, which had been cleared by Mes's defenders, reached Noorafkan behind the penalty area; after beating the man in front of him he sent the ball into the corner of the goal with a powerful instep shot, making it 3–0 with this exceptional goal.

Sepahan 4 – Mes Shahr-e Babak 0 (minute 59: Kasra Taheri): Omid Noorafkan appeared influential again, and this time his left-foot cross from the right flank was converted by Taheri with a high leap and a spectacular header into a goal.

🥇 Man of the match

Although Kasra Taheri scored two goals, Omid Noorafkan must be introduced as the man of the match, because alongside recording a beautiful goal he was able to provide a spectacular assist and lay the foundation for another goal, and in addition he performed brilliantly in his first experience of playing at right-back.

📌 Special incident

Mes Shahr-e Babak, like in the match against Persepolis, had a man sent off in the first half, so that their work was finished in that same half, and with another heavy defeat they remain bottom of the table — so that this match will probably be Ghasem Shahba's last presence on his team's bench.
