According to "Varzesh 3", Reza Shekari in the 30th minute of the match between Paykan and Malavan, opened the scoring against the charges of Maziar Zare with a powerful strike off the instep. Paykan's number 10, on a day when his team had lost a player very early on, used the opportunity that came about so that the charges of Saket Elhami would score the first goal of the match.

The goal scene began with a long cross from around the center circle. The ball, after a backward header by Amirali Madadizadeh, reached Shekari inside the penalty area, and he, with a powerful instep strike, slammed the ball into the net of Malavan's goal. With this same header, Madadizadeh also registered the assist for his teammate's goal.

This goal came in circumstances where Paykan had been playing with ten men since the 23rd minute, following the sending-off of Erfan Jamshidi. Nevertheless, only a few minutes after this incident, Shekari turned the tables for his team, so that Malavan, despite its numerical advantage, fell behind the host.

For Shekari, reaching such a goal mattered even more after the events of the match against Shams Azar. In that match, he had won a penalty with an individual move, but sent his strike over the goal and missed the scoring opportunity. This time, however, his powerful strike from inside the penalty area went straight into the net.

This was Reza Shekari's first goal after leaving the Persepolis camp.
