According to "Varzesh 3", Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona football club, was one of the prominent figures attending the traditional "Soplillo de La Fonteta" banquet held on Saturday night, one day prior to the El Clasico match between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Sport newspaper reported that Laporta sat at a table next to Enrique Riquelme, a former candidate for the presidency of Real Madrid. Riquelme had been defeated in the election race against Florentino Perez.

At this table, several other notable Spanish political and economic figures were also present, including Juanma Moreno Bonilla, president of the regional government of Andalusia, Josep Oliu, president of Banco Sabadell, and Fernando Lopez Miras, president of the Murcia region.

Sandro Rosell, former president of Barcelona, was also present at the ceremony and approached Laporta during the gathering to greet him. The Soplillo de La Fonteta banquet has gained special status in recent years and has become one of the most important social gatherings of Catalonia's elites.

Beyond its culinary aspects, the event provides an opportunity for networking and building relationships among some of Spain's most influential personalities. One of the prominent features of this gathering is its venue; instead of hotels or convention centers, the banquet is held at the private residence of Spanish businessman Luis Conde. This creates a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere for interaction among attendees.

In this edition, the meeting and seating arrangement of Laporta and Riquelme lent a footballing atmosphere to the event. The gathering took place on the eve of one of the season's most anticipated matches. Barcelona and Real Madrid are preparing to face each other once again on Sunday night and test their strength against their arch-rival.
