According to "Varzesh3", Juma Bah is only 20 years old and was born in Sierra Leone. Bah, after his sending-off, became a victim of racism and insults such as 'dirty filth' were hurled at him. He has so far played only 3 games in the Bundesliga. In the last game, on Saturday, this African defender, in the 63rd minute and during the 1-1 home draw against Union Berlin, faced the referee's red card after a severe foul on the ankle of Andras Schafer.
The red card, which was followed by a very severe reaction with extreme racism from an Instagram user named Julian Alvarado; a message that was made public by Michael Stroll, the CEO of the German club: "Black whore, I hope he dies! You are nauseating, dirty filth. I will kill you and your whole family. Black people should have been burned long ago."

The club's CEO announced in a conversation with Bild: "Racism has no place anywhere, and especially in Augsburg. It is intolerable for a person to read such things and insult one of the players in a nauseating and racist manner and threaten him with death. Racism and hatred must not hide behind the supposed mask of anonymity."
He added: "For this reason, I decided to make this post public. The internet is not a lawless space. We do not accept such behavior and will report this incident to the legal authorities. Juma Bah can count on the full support of our club."

The club present in the Bundesliga wrote, by publishing a post on its Instagram page: "Our player Juma Bah was targeted by a vile racist attack and a death threat. His family was also threatened. We are terrified of such hatred. We want to make one thing completely clear: we will never accept, tolerate, or overlook such behavior!
Anyone who insults one of our players racially or threatens him has attacked not only a person, but the values of the whole Augsburg family. Regardless of skin color, origin, religion, or nationality, every human being deserves respect, dignity, and security. We will not remain indifferent! We will not remain silent! We are united! We will report this incident to the police and will use all available legal routes. Juma, we are beside you! There is no place for racism. There is no place for hatred."
