The head coach of the Esteghlal football team has asked the club's managers to strengthen the team in at least one position for the mid-season.
Young Journalists Club - Rozhyar Shabanikhah; Abolfazl Zamani's performance in the right-back position for the Esteghlal football team in the match against Chadormalu Ardakan has apparently failed to fully satisfy Sohrab Bakhtiarizadeh, and the Blues' head coach is looking to strengthen this position in the mid-season transfer window.
In the match against Chadormalu, Esteghlal faced a shortage of specialist options on the right side of the defensive line due to the absence of Saleh Hardani through suspension and Saman Touranian through injury. In these circumstances, Bakhtiarizadeh decided to use Abolfazl Zamani in this position to cover for the absence of the team's main defenders.
However, Zamani's display in this match failed to fully win over the Esteghlal head coach, and this has once again raised the need to strengthen the right side of the Blues' defense.
According to this report, Bakhtiarizadeh has asked Esteghlal's managers to make signing a right-back a priority in the mid-season transfer planning, so that the team does not face a shortage of players in this area of the pitch for the rest of the Premier League and other upcoming competitions.
Saleh Hardani is currently Esteghlal's main option at right-back, but his absence for various reasons, including suspension, can disrupt the coaching staff's tactical plans. On the other hand, using non-specialist players in this position may not fully meet the team's technical needs.
For this reason, Esteghlal's head coach wants to sign a player who can play at right-back as a specialist and, alongside Hardani, create more competition and depth in the Blues' squad.
It remains to be seen whether Esteghlal's managers, given the club's transfer conditions and possible limitations on signing players, will be able to meet the head coach's request in mid-season or not.
