According to ILNA, citing the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Sadegh Mirhosseini announced on Monday, October 26, 2026, that based on the special emphasis of the Director-General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Sistan and Baluchestan, the reconstruction and modernization project of the electrical facilities of the Sistan Anthropology Museum has begun with a budget exceeding 12 billion Rials.
The Head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Zabol added that the electrical facilities of the Sistan Anthropology Museum have been put on the path of reconstruction and improvement after about two decades of operation, following the depreciation of equipment and the decline in the quality of electrical infrastructure.
He continued that this project is being implemented with the aim of upgrading facility safety, improving the lighting situation, and providing more suitable conditions for the museum's operation and hosting visitors.
According to Mirhosseini, among the most important anticipated measures in this operation are replacing internal electrical cables, reconstructing and improving electrical facilities, and correcting the internal lighting of the building and museum rooms, which will play an effective role in improving the technical conditions of the complex and enhancing the quality of its interior space.
He stated that the Sistan Anthropology Museum, as one of the centers introducing the culture, historical identity, customs, and lifestyle of the people of Sistan, holds an important position in preserving and transferring the region's cultural heritage to future generations. Therefore, the modernization of this complex's technical infrastructure, in addition to paying attention to safety and better preservation of artifacts, provides the groundwork for offering more desirable services to tourists and enthusiasts of Sistan's culture and history.
