According to KhabarOnline, the twenty-first meeting of the country's Supreme Council of Health and Food Security was held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, chaired by Masoud Pezeshkian and attended by the members of this council, including the ministers of health, treatment and medical education; agriculture jihad; education; and justice; the heads of the Environmental Protection Organization and the Standards Organization; and other council members.

According to ISNA's account, the President at this meeting, emphasizing the importance of education and health for the country's future, added: Proper education of students and children and raising them to build the country's future, with qualities such as capability, commitment, honesty and creativity, is one of the important priorities of this government.

Pezeshkian, emphasizing that we will make all our effort to develop educational spaces and improve the method of teaching and raising children, said: The subject of education and equipping schools is followed up in the government almost daily. We consider the proper upbringing of the country's children our duty, because we believe that if we raise our children and students properly, we will no longer witness the problems we face in the country today.

The President went on to emphasize the importance of the health of the people and society, and stated: Attending to people's health is another important duty of the government, and this subject, in connection with religious and doctrinal orders and with a just outlook toward all people, regardless of any ethnicity or race, is on the government's agenda.

Pezeshkian stated: All of us strive so that no danger threatens the people of the country; on this path we are not seeking commands, prohibitions and orders; our goal is to win the collective accompaniment and cooperation of all institutions and the participation of the people themselves.

The President, emphasizing the necessity of the cooperation of governors across the country for the success of the programs and the realization of the government's goals in the fields of education and health, said: With our efforts we must put an end to the injustices in these two important fields. The people must know that we wish and strive for no danger to threaten them, and that the government and the country's managers consider this subject their main agenda and duty.

Pezeshkian, pointing out that in our plans and programs we should not prefer temporary profit over the country's permanent interests and a forward-looking outlook, said: The media and the IRIB must give importance to the people's physical and mental health and cooperate in raising people's awareness on the path of ensuring individual and public health and hygiene.

The President, also referring to the national documents approved at the meeting of the country's Supreme Council of Health and Food Security with the aim of ensuring society's health, said: In the details of implementing plans and programs, the use of new and digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, will be very helpful. Our ultimate goal must be the health of our children and society.

Pezeshkian, stating that social harms and risks threaten society's health and will bring many problems with them, said: The tensions created in the month of Dey were mostly caused by social harms. We must see the problems and needs of the people and the pain of the youth and find a remedy for them. The main duty of all of us is to help solve society's problems.

The President emphasized: If the people trust us and know that we want to help them and solve their problems, they will certainly accompany us. The programs arranged on this path must be designed in such a way that the duties of the institutions are completely clear, and, using the capacity of all provinces and provincial managers, we implement the programs across the country.

Dr. Pezeshkian stated: Winning the people's participation in neighborhood-centered plans will play a very important role in the success of our programs, and officials must also be answerable for their responsibility. All of us, regardless of any taste or belief, must seek that the people of the country live healthily, in soul and body, and that our children, with proper education and upbringing, can guarantee the country's future.

Before the President's remarks, Dr. Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi, the Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, described the goal of the plans and programs of this ministry as “health-centered” prevention instead of “treatment-centered,” and said: The cooperation and accompaniment of all institutions and ministries, and especially the governors in the country's provinces, is necessary for the precise and successful implementation of the programs and approvals of the Supreme Council of Health, with the aim of ensuring and guaranteeing the health of the people and society.

The Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education stated: Our major goal is to be able, with the cooperation of all institutions, to present health-related programs and training to the people in society, because we believe that society's health leads to the strengthening of social capital.

At the twenty-first meeting of the country's Supreme Council of Health and Food Security, chaired by the President, five strategic national documents in the field of the health system and society's hygiene were approved.

The National Document for the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases, the National Strategic Document for Improving the Quality of Drinking Water in the five-year period 1405 to 1410, the National Strategic Document on Health and Climate Change, the National Document on Early Childhood Development, and the Comprehensive Document on Managing the Risk of Incidents and Accidents in the Health System were approved by the members of the council.
