According to KhabarOnline News Agency, Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, left the country for Russia on Monday evening, October 26, 2026, to attend the 8th Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).

Consultations on the expansion of trade and economic cooperation and meetings with Russian officials will be among the agenda items of the President's visit to the country.
