According to ILNA, citing Arabi21, Benjamin Netanyahu, today — Sunday — on the social network X, by republishing an AI-generated image of a nuclear bomb explosion in Tel Aviv and warning of the occurrence of a “second Holocaust” if Iran's nuclear program is not curbed, caused controversy two days before this regime's elections.

He also republished an article by Yuval Bloomberg, an Israeli writer, in which it has been claimed that Iran's attainment of nuclear weapons is an existential threat to Israel.

Netanyahu's Election Controversy with an Image of a Nuclear Explosion and a Warning about Iran

Bloomberg, emphasizing the necessity of continuing operations against Iran, claimed that Israel has only two more years, with Donald Trump in the White House, to “finish the job in Iran.” He also called for the mobilization of all of Israel's facilities to confront this threat and considered the internal political disputes a factor in diverting attention from the Iran issue.

This writer, referring to the possibility of the occurrence of a nuclear attack, asked the voters to consider, in the upcoming elections, the ability of political leaders to continue the confrontation with Iran.

Opponents' Reaction

The publication of this image was met with the criticism of Yair Golan, the head of the Democrats party of the Zionist regime. He accused Netanyahu of creating panic among the voters and said the publication of the image of a nuclear explosion in Tel Aviv by the prime minister indicates the intensification of the atmosphere of fear on the eve of the elections.

This controversy took shape while Netanyahu, last Wednesday, declared the overthrow of Iran's system a strategic goal and claimed that Tehran has resumed its efforts to develop nuclear weapons. He also announced the issuance of an order to the army, the Mossad and the security institutions to pursue this goal.

Israel's elections are scheduled to be held on Tuesday, October 27; at the same time, reports have been published about American and Israeli military preparations for the possibility of resuming attacks against Iran.
