According to "Varzesh3", Gerard Pique by using social networks reviewed his current relationship with Jose Mourinho and emphasized that the days of severe tension between Barcelona and Real Madrid have given their place to mutual and friendly understanding. The 39-year-old former central defender of the Catalans and the current president of the Kings League revealed the behind-the-scenes of the contact established with this Portuguese coach in the year 2023.

The former Barcelona player, with an ironic tone when recalling the era in which the Portuguese head coach, in the early 2010s, was in charge of leading the Galacticos, said about this coach's path in the capital of Spain: "After all those tension-filled years in which he came to save Real Madrid, in the first year he won the King's Cup, which was much celebrated, and a La Liga cup. In three years he won one La Liga and one King's Cup. Very excellent."

Years later, Pique went to this head coach, who at that time was in charge of leading Roma, in order to receive a promotional video addressed to Iker Casillas within the framework of the Kings League. The former Spain defender said: "I was forced to contact Mourinho so that he would send a video for Iker in the Kings League. This event occurred in the year 2023. The truth is that it was extraordinary, because we talked together and he agreed."

Mourinho in the end answered with an irony to the former goalkeeper of Real Madrid: "If you see him on the bench, there is surely a reason. A very bad reason."

The reaction of the Portuguese coach caused Pique's satisfaction, and he did not hide his expression of delight at this result: "He sent a video in which he crushed Iker, something that I liked."

The former Barcelona player also emphasized that Mourinho's behavior was exemplary and the past hostilities have been consigned to oblivion. He said in the end: "Our relationship, despite all those years full of tension, was friendly, and in fact he showed himself very intimate and accessible for recording this video, which in the end also had much success."
