According to "Varzesh 3", Mohammadjavad Hosseinnejad has not been in the starting lineup of Dynamo Makhachkala for any of the Russian Premier League matches since the beginning of the 2026-27 season, featuring as a substitute in four games where he also scored last week, and is now awaiting entry into the main squad.
Hoseinnejad, who has also played three matches in the Russian Cup this current season, came on at the start of the second half in Dynamo Makhachkala's Premier League match against Akron Togliatti last week and managed to score, giving him high motivation to repeat it in today's match.
The Iranian midfielder of Dynamo Makhachkala, who has had one regular start and one substitute appearance in the third and fourth weeks of the Russian Cup group stage against Zenit Saint Petersburg this season, will face the same team today within the league fixtures.
Hosseinnejad delivered a spectacular assist in the first leg of the cup against Zenit which was disallowed, but he hopes to shine again at the opponent's stadium today and earn points for his team.
