According to "Varzesh 3", Hojjat Karimi's important news on the Barjam program points to a flight that can turn the grueling previous journey of the Tabriz Red-clad team to the UAE into a distant memory: a direct flight to Dubai, utilizing a special aircraft from the Islamic Republic of Iran's VIP hangar.
According to the announcement by the CEO of Tractor in the first episode of the second season of Barjam, members of the Tractor team will head to the UAE tomorrow on a chartered flight to prepare for their crucial match against Al Ain in the AFC Champions League Elite. This comes as the Iranian representative's previous trip to the UAE took about 18 hours due to flight restrictions and using a route through Tabriz, Iraq, and Oman—an exhausting journey that is now set to be replaced by a direct and hassle-free route.
The significance of this news is not limited to shortening the travel route. Tractor, struggling with the heavy costs of participating in the AFC Champions League Elite, had even considered withdrawing from the competition. The expenses of foreign travel and logistical difficulties had turned continued participation in the matches into a serious issue for the club; now, however, the assistance provided to secure a dedicated flight has changed the circumstances. With this coordination, Tractor is moving away from the decision to withdraw and can continue its presence in the Elite League.
This is while previously, a fee of around $100,000 had been requested to operate such a flight. Under current conditions, given the restrictions on direct flights to Dubai and the ban on operating such flights for ordinary aircraft, coordinating the use of a VIP aircraft for officials is an event beyond a normal transfer. A flight whose execution required special consultations and coordination among the responsible entities.
This trip has been arranged in cooperation with Meraj Airlines and following follow-ups conducted at managerial and executive levels. According to the explanations provided, with the agreement of Mohammad-Reza Zonouzi, the owner of Tractor Club, a portion of the charter flight costs has been reduced, ultimately smoothing the travel route of the team's caravan to the UAE, a move made with the aim of facilitating the presence of Iranian football's representative in Asian competitions.
The Tractor caravan will fly towards the UAE tomorrow at 8 AM, and after landing at Dubai Airport, will travel by bus to the city of Al Ain to set up its training camp for the encounter with the Emirati opponent. Consequently, Tractor players will have more time to rest and prepare before the match instead of enduring a long and exhausting journey.
Tractor Club also expressed its gratitude for the follow-ups and cooperation of Brigadier General Second Class Seyed Mohammad Mirsamiei, CEO of Meraj Airlines and commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran's hangar, thanking this organization for facilitating the travel of Iran's representative in Asian competitions.
The team, which had been considering a withdrawal from the Elite League due to cost pressures, is taking the path forward in the competition thanks to this assistance. The direct flight to Dubai, in addition to ending the nightmare of the 18-hour journey, is encouraging for those facing the former champions of the competition at the highest continental level.
UAE, Here We Come!
