According to "Varzesh Three", the new season of the Varzesh Three program "Barjam" started last night, and Firouz Karimi was one of the guests on the show. In a part of the conversation, they discussed the performance of Iranian football forwards, and Karimi shared two interesting memories about Mehdi Taremi and Saeid Saharkhizan.

Karimi, who managed Mehdi Taremi during his youth days in Bushehr, said about the striker's early days: "Mehdi Taremi was a youth player in Bushehr, and in every match, he would crash into the goalkeepers' stomachs so much that I would penalize Mehdi and tell my assistant to make him run around the pitch, because this is how he would collide with the goalkeepers."

He continued: "Mehdi's father was sitting among the spectators, but I didn't know him. Once, one of the spectators protested against my treatment of the young player, and the other spectators told him why he was interfering. Then my assistant told me he was Mehdi's father. I asked him to come over, and we talked about his son's behavior. His father said he wouldn't repeat it, and I accepted, but Mehdi did the same thing on the pitch again. In the end, this became Mehdi Taremi."

Continuing to point out Taremi's ability to win penalties, he said: "One of the factors of a good striker is winning penalties from the goalkeeper, and Mehdi had this trait very well. The goalkeeper's speed and height are also influential, but when the goalkeeper comes out of the goal to stop the striker, winning a penalty is one of the things he might fail to do. Mehdi did this in the best way possible, and I think he won many penalties in club and national games."

In another part of the program, reacting to the discussion about the missed chances of young Esteghlal striker Saeid Saharkhizan, Karimi defended his abilities and said: "Saharkhizan is a very good player. Young coaches must know that a striker who creates ten good chances and scores one is much better than a striker who only creates two chances and converts both. A striker who constantly finds himself in scoring positions has a greater capacity for improvement, and his technical flaws can be resolved by working on his shooting angles and technique through training."

Concluding, Karimi pointed out the chances Saharkhizan failed to score and emphasized: "I saw all the scenes where he didn't score, and I believe they could have been converted into goals. Without a doubt, if Saharkhizan is worked on, I think he can also become the top scorer."
