According to "Varzesh 3", the wait for the introduction of Esteghlal's new CEO came to an end, and Mostafa Motedayen officially took over the executive management seat of this club. The decree issued for Motedayen states that his appointment was made based on the board of directors' resolution, the provisions of Article 123 of the legal bill amending a section of the Commercial Law, and the statutes of the Esteghlal Iran Cultural and Athletic Company.

This decree was issued a few days after the introduction ceremony of the new members of Esteghlal's board of directors. Motedayen was introduced as a new board member in that ceremony, and the remarks of the managers present indicated that his selection for the CEO position had been finalized.

With the official appointment of Motedayen as CEO, the period of Esteghlal's executive administration under the interim leadership of Ali Tajarnia has come to an end. Tajarnia will continue to serve as the chairman of the club's board of directors, while Motedayen, alongside his board membership, will take charge of executive management affairs. Thus, the duties of the board chairmanship and the CEO position, which were held by Tajarnia over the past year, have been separated.

The new CEO of Esteghlal has gained the majority of his experience in economic, industrial, and petrochemical fields. Motedayen has been managing the Petrochemical Industries Development Management Company since 2023 and holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a focus on oil and gas. His presence at Esteghlal is considered one of his most important athletic responsibilities, and his performance in transferring management and economic experiences to the football environment will be closely watched.

The decree of Esteghlal's new CEO emphasizes managing the club with a professional, responsible, and results-oriented approach. Compliance with corporate governance principles, transparency, accountability, protection of stakeholder rights, safeguarding club assets, and attention to the social standing of the fans will be among the board's key expectations from Motedayen.

Motedayen begins his official work at a time when Esteghlal is simultaneously competing in the Iran Pro League and the AFC Champions League Elite, while legal cases—including the Yaser Asani issue, transfer restrictions, securing financial resources, and generating sustainable revenues—are also on the club management's desk. Now, in his first serious football assignment, he must align the extensive expectations of the fans with the economic goals of the club owner and the team's sporting plans.
