According to ILNA, citing the public relations office of the 19th International Resistance Film Festival, 18 specialized workshops have been planned for this edition of the festival with the aim of transferring experience, enhancing cinematic knowledge, and creating an opportunity for interaction among enthusiasts, students, and professional cinema practitioners.

These workshops cover a diverse range of specialized cinema topics, including directing, cinematography, film music, documentary filmmaking, animation, screenwriting, poster design, participation in international festivals, and the use of artificial intelligence in producing cinematic works.

Given the technological developments and the growing role of artificial intelligence in the cinema industry, as well as the allocation of a special section to this field at the festival, the topic of artificial intelligence will hold a special place in this edition's educational programs.

Presence of Prominent Filmmakers and Specialists in the Educational Workshops

In the specialized workshops section, Alireza Zarindast in the field of cinematography and Kamal Tabrizi in the field of directing will share their experience.

Also, Masoud Sakhavatdoost in the field of film music, Mohsen Eslamzadeh in documentary filmmaking with an emphasis on documentary filmmaking in crisis conditions, and Mohammad Sarshar in the field of animation, intellectual property design, and defining animation projects, will hold specialized workshops.

Continuing these programs, Mohammad Taghipour will examine, in the film poster design workshop, the place of the poster as part of the visual identity and an independent narrative of the cinematic work. Omid Moallem will also explain the criteria and requirements for preparing cinematic works for participation in world festivals.

In the artificial intelligence section, Mehdi Badvi and Fatemeh Sayyareh, practitioners in this field whose works have been presented at various festivals, will share their experiences and examine the capacities of this technology in producing cinematic works.

Also, screenwriting workshops will be held with the participation of Moghaddamdoost and Ebrahim Amini.

Workshops to Be Held from October 30 to November 4

The educational workshops of the 19th International Resistance Film Festival will be held from Friday, October 30 to Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at the Festival House.

These programs have been designed in the format of three 90-minute sessions centered on advanced experience transfer, and the exact time of each workshop and its corresponding hall will be announced later.

In planning these workshops, efforts have been made so that the timing of the educational sessions does not conflict with the screening of the festival's main films. Accordingly, the time range of 14:00 to 19:30 has been set aside for holding the educational programs, so that enthusiasts can benefit from both the workshops and the screenings of cinematic works.

Special Discount for Students and Cinema and Media Practitioners

Registration for the specialized workshops is done exclusively through the festival's official website, and given the limited capacity of the workshops, the registration details and the schedule will be announced through this website.

Special discounts have been considered for students and practitioners in the fields of cinema and media. Also, participants who register for more than 12 workshops will benefit from a special discount.

In addition, a certificate of attendance has been planned for those who participate in more than 12 workshops, in cooperation with the Shahid Avini Faculty of Art and Media and the IRIB University.
