According to "Varzesh3", the winger of Barcelona will experience the first El Clásico of his professional career at the Spotify Camp Nou stadium. Although this young international is only 19 years old, tonight's match counts as his tenth encounter with Real Madrid. Yamal missed the final match of last season, which was accompanied by the sealing of the Blaugrana's championship at home, due to injury, but tonight he is present on the pitch from the start and, as one of the team's most in-form pieces, is considered the main weapon of Barcelona's attacking line.
Tonight's match has a completely special flavor for Yamal. He missed the match of last May 10, following which the La Liga championship celebration was held, because of an injury to the biceps femoris muscle of his left leg. Despite his absence on that historic night against the old rival, the 19-year-old forward has recorded abundant experience in facing Real Madrid in his career.
The product of Barcelona's academy has so far taken the field in 9 matches against Los Blancos: 5 matches in La Liga, three matches in the Spanish Super Cup and one match in the Copa del Rey. Four of these encounters were held in the format of a final, in three of which he lifted the championship trophy. Yamal's record in these 9 matches includes 5 wins, four defeats, three goals scored and two assists.
Tonight he holds his tenth El Clásico while in the best possible form. Yamal has so far recorded 8 goals and 6 assists in this season's La Liga competitions and stands in third place among the top scorers of this tournament; a table in which only his teammate Raphinha with 12 goals and Kylian Mbappé with 9 goals are placed above him.
The statistics recorded by the star from Rocafonda are considered historic. Since the beginning of the twenty-first century, only two Spanish players have scored more goals in the first 9 matches of a season: David Villa in the 2008-09 season and Diego Costa in the 2013-14 season, both of whom reached a record of 10 goals. In addition, Barcelona's right winger is the only footballer who in the current season has to his name the record of simultaneously recording more than 5 goals (8 goals) and more than 5 assists (6 assists).
Yamal steps into this sensitive match at the highest level both mentally and in terms of physical readiness. He is one of Hansi Flick's most decisive pieces for continuing the team's brilliant run; the league-leading Barcelona, which has passed all 9 opening matches of the current La Liga season with authority and with victory.
